Animal Shelter

​​ We work very hard to get each and every pet into loving and forever homes. Our dogs are socialized and have interaction everyday. We learn about the dogs and we know their personality, helping us to find the right person for adoption.

Please do not drop off animals without our staff being present. Remember - we can only take animals from Adair and Green County!

We only accept cash or check. Returned checks will be addressed by the County Attorney. Check holder will be responsible for all fees incurred.

Closed Saturday, Sunday, and all major holidays

Adoption Fees

Dogs & Puppies - $50.00
Cats & Kittens - $30.00
Male Neutered Dogs - $25.00
Female Spayed Dogs - $25.00
Male Neutered Cat - $15.00
Female Spayed Cat - $15.00

Owner Surrender Fees

The surrender fee can be in a form of a donation of equal value, such as cleaning supplies and dog or cat food. Basically, anything you can use in your home we can use at our shelter.

• Owner surrender fee per dog or cat (must fill out a surrender form) - $20.00
  
• Stray dog or cat (you must fill out a stray form) - $10.00
• Nursing mother w/ babies under 6 weeks of age - $30.00 each
• Pregant dog or cat - $50.00 each
• Stray puppies or kittens (must fill out a stray form) - $10.00 each
• Owner surrendered puppies or kittens over 6 weeks of age - $20.00 each​

Note: if you feed, water or house a stray animal for more that 5 days you have taken over responsibility of that animals owner surrender fee is $20.00 per animal.​
